Process for parents and carers

In order to safeguard children at school, all adults that come into the school and interact with children need to have undergone the appropriate working with children check process.

Some parents and carers at the school may already have a Working with Children Check number if they are employees in some capacity that regularly works with children such as a teacher, health care professional or sports coach. These WWCC clearances are administered by the Office of the Children’s Guardian and can be viewed on your Service NSW app (under licences and credentials at the top). Services NSW provides more information.

The 100-point ID check has been removed. Volunteers (and / or contractors) need only present one form of government issued ID showing full name, date of birth and current address.

The latest form can be found here.

Once this form is completed you just drop it into the school office. It will last for the time you have a child at the school. This then covers you to volunteer as a reading helper, excursion parent helper and as a volunteer at P&C events such as Mother’s Day, BBQ’s, discos and fun runs.

Please consider completing this check now in the event you’d like to take up a volunteering opportunity.
