At Pymble Public School, the Parents & Citizens Association (P&C), plays an important role in supporting the school's efforts of creating an open and welcoming learning environment for all students as well as an environment that is healthy, safe and fun.

The main functions of our P&C are:

  • To promote the interests of our school by bringing parents, community, students and teaching staff into close co-operation.

  • To raise funds to provide additional educational materials, equipment and facilities required by the school that are not supplied by the NSW Department of Education.

  • To manage the school's Instrumental Programme, uniform shop (via Alinta Apparel) and the 2nd hand uniform shop.

  • Through its close co-operation with the school Principal and teachers, the P&C assists with supplying a wide range of resources and facilities for our children to enhance their experience at the school. Whether in class, on the field or stage, there is a very strong "whole of community" approach to the well-being of our students at Pymble Public.

  • These resources and facilities require the ongoing generosity of the community, both in time and funds. As such, the P&C at Pymble Public undertakes a range of fundraising events/activities for students and families throughout the year. These fundraisers contribute to the school's budget and ensure all students at Pymble Public can enjoy an engaging and fulfilling time at the school, no matter what their interests.

The P&C holds regular meetings at school and ALL are welcome to attend! Meetings are attended by the school principal and senior members of the teaching staff, so an update on what's happening in the classrooms and wider school is always on the agenda. We also hear from our various sub-committees and listen to queries and suggestions from all attendees. At these meetings, the P&C decide on how funds are to be spent, so, it's a great opportunity to really hear what's going on around the school and be a part of key decision making.
