“Growing Hope”

The frame measures 61cm by 91cm.

The children of Kindergarten were each given a drawing of a leaf, which then they coloured it with colouring pencils. The leaves were then put together to form a colourful tree on a cardboard.

The concept of tree was chosen to represent the nurturing for Now and Beyond.

Each frame size is 30cm x 30cm.

"Expression of Love"

This is a collage created by all year 3 students and teachers.Each pixel represents every child's own expression of Love;

the shapes he/she loves and things or activities he/she loves.

Names of 90 students, 8 teachers, the Principal and Vice Principal of PPS are beautifully written in the work.

This collaborative artwork hopes to convey the idea that when we contribute what each of us love in a unique way, and put our hands together, others will be able to see a beautiful expression of love.

Each pixel is drawn with colour pencils and markers on paper and collaged on cotton covered foam board.

The artwork will be framed within timber frame measuring 120 x 120cm

They measure 50cm x 125cm each, designed to hang off each other on a wall.

The children of year 4 were each given an Australian bird including kookaburras, king parrots, lorikeets and galahs to decorate with different mediums creating a 3D artwork which really shows off the children’s artistic talents.

Year 5

Inspired by the Abstract Expressionist art of Jackson Pollock, Year 5 came together to create a vibrant and sophisticated abstract painting.

The artwork “Positive Vibes” is acrylic paint on canvas measuring 102 x 102cm.

The children of Year 5 created this art with an abundance of joy and enthusiasm which is incredibly evident in the final piece. The interaction of bright colours on a softer background evokes positive emotions of freedom and pure happiness!

Year 6

This term year 6 knitted a scarf for their snow trip. They loved knitting so much we continued this through to the Art Project.

With patience and persistence year 6 mastered the skill of knitting. All the students knitted different coloured squares, these squares were then joined together to create a vibrate, cosy blanket. Each square comes with a personal touch.

A huge amount of time and effort was put in to create this original master piece by the students, teachers and parents.

A definitely item to keep for many, many years to come. With a priceless sentimental value.

This unique colourful blanket is approximately 1.5 by 2.0 m
